Ōhiʻa Lehua Cafe: A Charming Spot with New Owners
I’ve been passing by this delightful cafe for a year and a half, and today I finally decided to stop in! The service was super friendly as new owner Nicholas personally came out to greet me. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a quick cup of coffee. I asked if it was alright to snap a few pictures, and he happily agreed.
As I scanned the menu, I noticed a variety of unique dishes that piqued my interest. I ordered breakfast burrito with bacon and their locally sourced vegetable varieties to go with it.
The food and coffee were absolutely fantastic, and the prices were just right! Nicholas mentioned he’s from Shelton, Washington, and I shared that I’m from Federal Way, Washington, originally hailing from Micronesia. I was telling him, Washingtonians are moving west and he pointed out the majority of the artists displaying their works on the cafe walls are from Washington.
Bella, the co-owner, is from Massachusetts. They just took over the cafe about three weeks ago and are eager to put their own fun spin on the menu. With their enthusiasm and creative ideas, I’m sure the cafe will become a beloved local gem.
I’m so glad I made the visit, and I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their delicious offerings!.
This cafe feels like it has a bright future ahead with the new energy they bring. I congratulate both for their new business and wished them well on this new adventure.
Please don’t take my word for it, check them out at your convenience. They are located right off Mamalahoa Highway in Mountain View. You won’t miss them!
