DAY 3 OF LAND CLEARING – SOKEHS HILO OHANAS CAME OUT TO HELP

On the third day of our land-clearing adventure, we were totally thrilled to welcome our Sokehs Hilo Ohanas! They swooped in with a burst of energy, bringing not just a helping hand but also some delightful bananas and sakau plants to get cozy in our soil. It felt like a beautiful reunion, as old friendships were rekindled and new ones began to blossom under the warm sun. Their awesome support was like a shot of espresso for our spirits, and it stitched us together as a community in a way that only big projects can spark!

It felt like a beautiful reunion, as old friendships were rekindled and new ones began to blossom under the warm sun. I noticed our land is a bit shy on soil, so we decided to leave all the green scraps around to decompose and work their magic for the future.

By piling up the scraps, we’re not just reducing waste; we’re creating a sanctuary for beneficial organisms that will enrich the soil over time.
It’s like giving Mother Earth a warm hug and a great chance to boost her nutrients while we declutter!

I also had a zany idea pop up: why not raise some pigs? They would be our little soil superheroes, rejuvenating the earth and adding those yummy nutrients! Plus, they’d help us keep pesky critters at bay, aligning perfectly with our eco-friendly ambitions. With their playful antics, they would surely become beloved members of our community, bringing joy and utility alike.

The day zipped by in a blur of laughter and camaraderie, with everyone pitching in to tackle the ferns and guava trees.

This shared labor of love not only brought us closer, but also reminded us of the importance of working together for common goals. As we shared giggles and stories, it felt like we were crafting not just land, but also a treasure trove of memories to cherish forever!. The laughter echoed through the trees, promising that this experience would forever be etched in our hearts and our community’s story.
