About Me
Rooted in the heart of the Pacific, this journey begins on a small island called Ifalik, one of the beautiful outer islands of Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia. Growing up surrounded by the ocean, community, and tradition instilled a deep appreciation for hard work, simplicity, and connection to nature.
Now living in the diaspora, life has taken a new shape—one that blends island values with new opportunities abroad. The goal is to build a meaningful life while staying true to the spirit of Ifalik: resilience, generosity, and respect for the land and its creatures.
Farming has become both a passion and a way to stay grounded. Caring for four pigs, two dogs, and one cat brings a sense of peace and purpose, echoing the rhythms of island life where every living being plays a part in the community. Each day is a reminder that even far from home, the essence of Ifalik lives on through the work of the hands and the care given to the land and animals.
This space is a reflection of that journey—a story of roots, growth, and the enduring connection between past and present.
Have been living in the Pasefika Diaspora for over 30 Years now. Is it worth it? ifagalz has the answer, me believe.
