Our First DIY Project
It’s been an exciting few months since we moved into our new house! Just as we were getting settled in and preparing for the holidays, the Pineapple Express – that strong wind from Hawaii – came through and knocked down part of our backyard fence. While it was frustrating to deal with this unexpected issue, it also presented us with the opportunity to tackle our very first DIY project in the new house.
Despite the chaos of the holiday season, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work repairing the fence. It was a learning experience, but we’re proud that we were able to fix it ourselves. Now the backyard is secure again, and we can focus on enjoying our new home and getting ready for all the festivities ahead.
This little DIY adventure was a great reminder that sometimes the unexpected can lead to fun, rewarding experiences – even in the midst of the busy holiday rush. We’re grateful for our new home and can’t wait to see what other projects and milestones await us in the months to come.
Our First Christmas in Our New Home
As the crisp winter air settles in, our hearts are filled with a sense of joy and anticipation. It’s been just two short months since we moved into our new house, and now we find ourselves eagerly preparing for our very first Christmas in this special place.
The excitement has been palpable as we’ve decorated our home with twinkling lights and festive ornaments. Every corner seems to radiate the warmth of the holiday season, and we can’t help but smile as we imagine the memories we’ll create here.
But the true joy of this Christmas comes from an even more special addition to our family – our newborn grandson. Born just after we settled into our new abode, he will be experiencing his first-ever Christmas, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share this magical time with him.
As we gather around the tree, sipping hot cocoa and singing carols, we know that this holiday season will be one to remember. Our new house has become a canvas for our family’s love and traditions, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds as we continue to build our lives in this wonderful new home.
